Have the Oscars officially become a political forum for Hollywood liberals to spew their left-wing agenda?

Did you see Melissa Etheridge sing her song about the farce we know of as Global Warming while subliminal words played on the screen behind her? Actually, I think they now call it Climate Change due to all the record freezing temperatures and record snowfall the WORLD has been encountering. Or did you see Al Gore not only coincidentally WIN an Oscar for Best Doentary, but was also escorted to the stage by Leonardo Di Caprio and encouraged to make a presidential candidate acceptance speech? I would have thought I was watching the Democratic National Convention!
