Teeth Whitening BEFORE Braces?

Is it OK that I am bleaching my my teeth with professional whitening trays a few days prior to getting ceramic braces? I'm afraid that the teeth under the braces will remain white and the rest will get yellower during the treatment. After they remove the braces, will I end up with permanent white spots where the braces were? I just don't want any permanent discoloration or anything that cannot be evened out after the braces are removed... I googled this and did not find a whole lot of official dentist info on bleaching before braces (most postings were about bleaching after braces as well as white spots caused by poor hygiene but not by bleaching before braces).
